Paul Collier Paul Collier is a brilliant economist, famous for his books The Bottom Billion,The Plundered Planet and Wars, Guns And Votes. He was the director of the Development Research Group of the World Bank from 1998 until 2003 and his research topics include economic growth in Africa, economics of civil war, governance in low-income countries, aid, globalisation and poverty. He currently works as a professor at Oxford University where he directs the Centre for the Study of African Economies, and and is listed as one of the top global thinkers by Foreign Policy Magazine. Jan Pronk
Jan Pronk is currently president of the Society for International Development and chairman of the Interchurch Peace Council. He is a man of numerous talents and his aim is to reach young people who have an increased interest for international developments and peace questions. During his career he has been involved in politics, academic teaching and the United Nations. Jan Pronk has served three terms as Minister for Development Cooperation for the Labour Party in Holland, he is currently a professor in Theory and Practice of International Development at the ISS in The Hague and from 2004 until 2006 he has lived in Khartoum, where he was leading the UN peace keeping operation UNMIS after UN Secretary General Kofi Annan had appointed him as the UN Special Representative for Sudan.

David Rodin David Rodin is a leading authority on the ethics of war and conflict. He is a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethic and International Affairs in New York and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford where he Co-Directs the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict. His publications include War and Self-Defense (OUP 2002), which was awarded the American Philosophical Association Sharp Prize and is considered a seminal text in modern just war theory, as well as articles in leading philosophy and law journals and a number of edited books. A Rhodes Scholar from New Zealand, David has a B.Phil. and D.Phil in philosophy from Oxford University. He was previously Senior Research Fellow at the Australian National University. He was the inaugural Director of Research at the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, and a founding member of the Oxford Leverhulme Programme on the Changing Character of War. David has a busy teaching and consulting schedule and is a regular lecturer at the UK Joint Services Command and Staff College where he provides ethics training for senior officers up to the rank of two-star General. He has also worked in the private sector as a Senior Associate with the Boston Consulting Group.
