I know it's freezing outside (in Holland at least) and there is still snow, but I'm wondering what you are doing during the holiday this summer? I have about 6 weeks of in July and August, so I want to do something cool!

I will go to the European University Debating Championships I guess, but for the rest I still need to think of something cool! I was planning on going to LSE summerschool, but the course I wanted to do is of a too low level, so now I have time to do something else

So share your plans and ideas with me so I will have some inspiration!

I've lots of ideas but almost no concrete plans.. I think about visiting festivals, maybe taking a train tour in eastern Europe, citytrips, internships..
So it's still a bit unclear what I'm going to end up wit
But I have to watch out a little bit, last year I was so enthousiastic that I ended up going on three different vacations although I didn't had the money for that, so I think I'll just stick to one holiday this year

Three is a lot, but very cool!
I did a lot of working last summer, so I need a real holiday this time!

South America (dont know which countries yet, someone ideas?)
India
Festivals in Europe

I finally sorted out my plans! My buddy is headed to Berlin in a couple of weeks and since I saved up, I'm going to join him and try to hit holland at the same time to check out the neighborhoods. I also booked my flight to Amsterdam for the middle of June...one way! No turning back now. I'll spend my summer settling in and trying to round up people for another cheapass Eurotrip. What about you guys?

Wow just asked you about the plans but here they are! Sounds pretty cool ! Berlin is a great city, I'd love to go back and enjoy it more.

There is a new option to my holiday plans:
spending a month in Paris! I've lived there half a year to study at the Sorbonne and really wanted to go back some day to feel home again, so now might be the time. We're still in the process of searching a cheap apartment for the month, but there are some promising ideas So I hope that will work out!

The other option is doing an MUN in Sofia and then travel by train to the north (Interrailing).

I like that option very much too

But the only thing that is definite is the European Debating Championships in Amsterdam in July and before that I have the last chances to enjoy my presidency of the National Youth Council and to finish everything I wanted to do this year!

Probably work, doing some study related stuff and that would mainly be it. I have no vacation plans or whatever. I'm just a poor student with no money Next year I plan to go to the USA for a few weeks.

Forodrova, which part of the US man? There are some sick places to visit. You should try to go to Florida, I think its more of a sunshine state than Cali!

Ladies, you speak of interailing across Europe, how would you plan something like that? Sounds like an awesome idea, is anyone going through with it? What kind of figures are we talking about to do something like this?

In January I'm going to Dubai A good friend is going to work there for atleast a year.

Which part of the USA? I have a friend living in Nashua so I'll go to Nashua. Bringing a visit to Boston. Probably go to NYC for a few days and then go further south to Washington DC. Another friend lives there and the plan is to go on a roadtrip. he is not to keen on California so we probably don't end up there. I believe he wants to take the northern route, taking even a side route by passing the Canadian border. Should be fun. I know more people in the USA but I'll see if I get there. I believe I even have some family living somewhere in the USA....

Wow the USA trip sounds adventurous and very cool! As does Dubai, it still speaks enormously to my imagination... What does your friend do over there?

About the interrailing... It was a very good plan, but plans have changed already! And now there are definitive... I'm going to Paris for a month. I was able to rent (affordable ) a room in a house of a friend in Paris, who currently lives in London. So finally I have the chance to go back! (I live there two years ago... feels like home a bit).

I'm really looking forward to it! Just relaxing, walking through Paris, visiting some beautiful spots, working on Globals, writing...

From my personal view you have to explore India this summer vacations...
The cultural aspect and history of the India is amazing. The hill station at India are best for summer seasons. I will suggest you to explore Leh, Manali, Shimla and Dharamshala at India. If you are looking for beach vacations than Goa is good option for you. For enriched culture you have to visit Rajasthan and Delhi.
