Okay I live in Amsterdam myself nowadays so maybe that's not fair haha.
But I always had the feeling people in Amsterdam weren't very nice, in comparison to the North of Holland I lived in.. But that view changed 180 degrees since I actually live her. People are really nice! Also in the city centre, but especially in other neighborhoods (like the one I live in, in the South, near the Albert Cuyp Market). I just love the whole atmosphere here!

I went to amsterdam last september... and I loved it!!!
The Red Light District is very fascinating and fine for walking..
and I think that it isn't at all shocking, beacuse Amsterdam is a romantic city,
full of culture and a great place to meet friendly and honest people!

I'm always very proud to live in Amsterdam when they say there such nice people

I always find it very hard to show my foreign friends around the city of Amsterdam, cause I dont know what to show them... I never do touristy things myself! So I'm wondering, what did you do?

I have visited Van Gogh Museum, Madame Tussaud,and the Heineken Brewery!
Torture museum and Sex Museum are so boring!
I went to the RLD and the Museumplein.Than I have explored Amsterdam with a canal cruise, and I have spended a lot of time walking in Vondelpark!!!
I also went to "In de Wildeman"!It's a very nice beer cafe located in Kolksteeg 3..
I hope to come back this spring to visit Koninklijk Paleis and Rijksmuseum.

Yes, only Heineken beer!
But I think that it's a nice tour even if you don't drink beer!

Thanks for the tips I should definitely do some more touristic things in the Netherlands. When friends visit now, I don't have a lot of suggestions for them. So strange how you do all those things abroad, but never in your own country.
