What was the best travel experience that you've had? And what was the worst?

My best of course was this summer. I've bin on a road trip with some friends. We went to Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Belgium and back home!
And all this with an 'Fiat Panda'

Best travel experience is quite difficult. Must say going by train to Paris to some conferation was quite good. Especially if you know that your train was just as expensive as the bustrip others took.

Dublin and Belfast 3 or 4 years ago was just a very good trip. Also quite impressive to see the not tourist side of Belfast (Walls around house blocks to keep people in and such).

Worse trip was to Curaçao by plane 2 years ago. I'm quite tall and I can say that economy class isn't really that good for your legs...

In terms of travel methods, it was defenitely the 24 hour bus trip to Blanes! With bad Dutch music in the morning .
But in experiences, I think it was New York, meeting up my friend from Colombia! A very exhausting and intense week, but very very cool one too!

And Sjoerdje, what's yours?

Cool, can you tell me how Dublin was? I saw cheap tickets on Ryanair.com to Dublin, so I'm thinking about going there for a few days.

This summer, I went on a Europe-trip with my brother. We bought an interrail-pass and went to Brussels, Lyon, Brig (Switzerland), Venice, Reijka and Opatija (Croatie) and Ljubljana and Bohinj (Slovenia). In two weeks we saw sooo much! It was really awesomne, great experience and I'd love to do it again. Next Europe-trip: south of Italy and Greece (hopefully)!

Picture's made on the Julian Alps in Slovenia

I really wanna go on Eurotrip!!
Should be awesome
Love to travel around Europe and meet a lot of interesting people!

My worst destination was..
were the Dutch islands I guess. I hate them, because they're so small and there's nothing to do!

Eurotrips are cool
I want to make one some day. The most beautiful country where I've been is definatly Croatia, the most intresting was Istanbul but there are many other places that Loved
I think my worst travel experience must be one of the way too long busrides that I've been in. I think the one where a friend of mine kept poking me awake at night

Dublin was fine. But we only stayed 2 days in Dublin and 5 days in Belfast. We want in Dublin to the Zoo and that was fun The city was nice to see. I would also say it depends on how long you want to stay and you want to do. I have seen a city in one or two days but I just walk around a little bit. Not so much of going into a museum and such...although sometimes...

I'm now looking around on visitdublin.com and I think there is enough to do. And the city is old and looks good I like old cities ^_^ and it appears to have a castle...I love castles Should have visited it >.>

Dublin hears pretty cool!
And it's not as "normal" to go to as most European capitals, so I think it would be a good experience!
Althouj there's nothing wrong with mainstream cities off course really need to
go to Paris again!

The best travel experience was 1,5 years ago, when I went to Tokyo. It was just.. awesome.
I also did a Eurotrip last summer, and in Europe I especially liked Hungaria alot. Worst travel experience: Never drive through Prague, Paris or Vienna when you're not a local or in possesion of a TomTom. You get lost. Several times

Nooo...You can't be serious! The Dutch islands are so beautiful! I think it's awesome that we have such a place to go in the Netherlands. Go there when you are tired and stressy! It's great to relax and just be away of all the daily stress.

I like the sea in Holland at the sie of Zandvoort and Kijkduin and Scheveningen....
And I know I'm the only one in Holland who hate our islands
But I have that feeling since I was very little

Hey guys!
I;m heading on a J1 visa this summer, which essentially is a work visa for America or Canada, that all European citizens can earn. However, I learnt that a lot of European students don't know about, but it is a HUGE unmissable experience in Ireland, where I come from!
Have you Europeans heard anything about this? Is there something similar in other countries?

I don't think its that well known in the Netherlands, I haven't heard of it before from any other Dutch people, but it sounds really cool
