My favourite is Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain..
Because it's set in Paris
And I love the filming, its really sweet and innocent.

And Juno is one of my favourites too, I really like the girl and the way she behaves, she had a funny way of standing in life!

Oeh and I really liked Vicky Christina Barcelona. I love the story and the way they look at life and love.

Mm what genre do all of these 3 movies belong to?

And what are yours?

I'm in for dowloading a new movie, what can everyone suggest me?

Hmmm. Romance and Drama? And yes Amélie is a good movie.

I've like 4 favourite Disney movies. Robin Hood just because it's great and has a real good line. Little John says at one point: I sentence you to sudden, instance and even... immediate death! And the face of the lion is really great with his crown too big for his head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIOcjISEkGQ&feature=related That clip has the line and this whole clip is like the best part of the movie

Other favourite disneys are Lion King (it's so sad.. and the song 'be prepared' is awesome), Alladin (the genie ^^) and Mulan (just because of the song 'I'll make a man out of you'.

Favourite animation is, I think, Howl's Moving castle from studio Ghibli (although Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is real good too). Japanese animation and this studio is like the disney of Japan. Has a good story, better then most disney mvies. Another good one is Spirited Away.

The Myth with starring Jackie Chan is cool as well. A bit difficult to get subtitles with (I couldn't synchronize them since it was spoken in Chinese). But Jackie Chan as archaeologist is just fun and he has sort of flashbacks to a 'previous life'.

Favourite musicalfilm would be Phantom of the Opera. Good play, nice songs and a bit fancy. So yes I'm talking about the remake

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is good as well. Setting is New York ca 1940. It has giant robots and is just cool But serious it's a sort of sci fi scenario that happened in the early 40's pretty nice made.

Hitch with Will Smith is one good movie too. Romcom I think it is. But a bit different then others. Oh well I just did like it.

There are a lot good action movies....Can't just name one. I Robot with Will Smith again is pretty nice. The Island is cool as well. V for Vendetta is nice, and quite different then most other movies. The Bourne trilogy I loved them

And I love sort of...well treasure hunting movies or good 'thief' movies. National Treasure is just good amusement. Ocean's Eleven the same and I think my favourite is the Italian Job. The mastermind schemes in this kind of movies is what I like mostly.

And I like the newest Batman movies just because it is Batman I think I named enough movies now haha

Anyway Steffy if you haven't seen Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow yet then I would advice to go see that movie. Or the Myth which is mainly fun to see. But the Myth with subtitles is hard to get one...atleast it wasn't easy for me.

I feel so standard next to you! but The Lion King, Amelie and Oceans Eleven are definitly in my list of favourites

My favourite film in the romance genre is the Notebook I think. A great story and I love all the surroundings and the setting in the 40's and 50's.

Musicalfilm has to be Grease. But I think that's the musicalfilm I know at all so I don't think my opinion is of much use

I love treasurehunting/thief movies What is that one again with the guy pretending to have like 50 jobs ore so and getting away with it? And altough I've seen it way to much now, I loved the first part of Pirates of the Carribean. But Oceans Eleven must be the best in this category

In general I also love movies where there are great landscapes and stuff like in Into the Wild. What kind of genre is that?

I still got to watch the Notebook
I think I'm the only one who hasn't seen that yet!
I should download that one I guess

50 jobs? The one with Leonardo diCaprio maybe?

I don't think I've seen the Notebook....

And don't worry I've seen a lot of 'standard' movies too...I mean Paycheck is great, ehm best vampiremovie is underworld, I think actually my favourite romantic movie is Serendipity, Sixth Sense was great but a lot of people have seen that one too.

If that one movie is indeed with Leonarda diCaprio then it must be the movie 'Catch me if you can' iirc. About a guy who fakes eveything. He fakes to be a pilot and get paid out by the airline for it and so he lives his life. By faking everything he can. Seen it once, not bad. I also love most Indiana Jones movies which almost everybody likes

It's actually pretty weird that Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow is not really known (atleast in the Netherlands), I mean Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie play in this movie.

Sorry for another post...but I can't edit posts Anyway I just finished seeing a movie called Inkheart. Some guy (maincharacter of the Mummy and in Journey to the center of the Earth) is a silvertongue. He has the talent when he reads something out loud to bring that to life, into this world. And that is mainly what the story is about. Can't say more without ruining the movie Recommended as well by me. But my taste for movies is sometimes quite different then of what most people like

Don't worry about double posts I don't mind at least

I like not standard and different movies, so I'll definitele go and watch some when I'm having more time again! Now I'm busy with painting my house and fixing things haha, but I'll need some relaxing after .
The only thin I do now is watch a serie on surfthechannel now and then, it's so easy!

Haha, well my not standard movies is not always a good thing >.< Lot of people have high demands for certain movies, I mostly have not. As long it can entertain me Hmm let me say surfthechannel I don't have a TV at all and not planning to get one either SO any alternatives are good

I don't have a tv either! I hardly ever watched it, and in my new home I didn't want to make space for it. Surfthechannel.com is really good for seeing movies and series.

I'd only like a tv for watching the news.. But I think I should be able to watch that on the Internet too.

I would love to see Un Prophète as well Even if it was only to see what all the fuss is about. But it sounds quite nice. Have you seen in it yet?
And it's a French movie indeed about a guy who is sentenced to prison and then becomes really high in prison ranking (I can't explain it that well, there must be some one who can do that better than me )
