I love movies but I am not familiar with European & Asian movies, if they are not so popular like "Barcelona Barcelona" or "Slumdog Millioner". Here we can share movies that you like so much and from your country.

Lets begin; I love so much these Turkish movies;

1. Gunesi Gordum (I saw the sun)--Drama--and realities of Turkey; strongly recommended strongly.

2. Babam ve oglum (my father and my son)-- Drama-- it is a good option if you want to cry

3. Kurtlar vadisi kuzey Irak-- Action-- about last Iraq war and the most wacthed Turkish movie.

What a great post I'd love to see some abroad movies which are not the standard ones that everybody gets to see
Do you maybe also have an idea about how I could get a hold on such movies but then with English subtitles? Because my turkish for instance is not that good
My favourite Dutch movies are:
1. Bride flight (a historical movie about Dutch brides moving to Australia)
2. De Storm (a historical movie about how Holland was flooded in de 50's)
3. Alles is liefde (the Dutch version of Love Actually)

You can find these movies at internet after a few searches just google them and you will find lots of websites to obtain movies. For English Subtitle I advice this site divxplanet.com and search the movie, then you find a link to download the English subtitle. If you need help send me email !

I began to download your third movie Alles isliefde, and then I'll watch second and first one relatively. Thanks for advices!

By the way I read in the newspapers that the movie “Gunesi Gordum” was selected as a candidate of candidate movies for Oscar. It really deserves, and I hope it gonna be real candidate

Forgot a great Dutch movie though. It was also selected as a candidate and maybe even a candidate.
It is called 'Zwartboek' and is about World War two in the Netherlannds.

My favourite dutch movies are:
Flirt: about relationships, like it a lot
Alles is liefde (as Sjoerdje said, the Dutch Love Actually, it;s just so lovely and romantic)
Phileine zegt sorry: a strange story, but a real good one, also about strange relationships (like Flirt)
