Applying abroad 1 Year ago
At the moment i'm contemplating on going to Berlin to (finally) start my working life so I've been looking at a few job hunting sites. One of them is for a spot as a trainee controller. It's all kind of awkward applying for a fulltime job (instead of being a fulltime student), and doing it for a job abroad as well.

How about you guys, do you have any plans for applying abroad or perhaps have any experience working abroad?

More news in the expat department: the new ECB president will probably be the current president of the Italian central bank; Mario Draghi. It's kinda funny to have an Italian in that position; it's a bit like Geert Wilders becoming the Dutch ambassador in Saudi Arabia.

I so agree on you with the Italian haha. But I suppose he's really good, otherwise they wont ask him I hope

Keep us posted on the job hunt, sounds so exciting!

I still have one year to do in my masters, so I guess I have to wait another year before I'm going to apply.. And even then, I prefer to start my own company (already busy with it to be honest )

Is it hard regarding legislation and rules/procedures?

I'm sure that if you're more specific about which country or university you want to study at, or which subject (law, economics, engineering etc) people here will be glad to help you out.
It's probably also useful if you open up a separate topic, since this one is about applying for a job. Success!

Hi Parween, welcome to Globals!
What would you like to study?

There is actually a topic for studying abroad
www.globalsfoundation.org/Study-Work/448...dying-abroad.php#817

Where we share all our experiences, questions and information about studying abroad. I think a lot of Globals aspire to study abroad or already have done so!

Re:Applying abroad 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Well, after graduation I still had some ambitious but not really concrete plans to start looking for a job in Berlin. But as of last week my ambitions have become more realistic. I have decided to quit my job here in Groningen and cancel my rent.

Starting the end of March i'm moving to Berlin to do a one month intensive course at the Goethe Institute in order to brush up on my German. I may also extend my course with another 4 weeks to become more fluent. In the meantime, I will also start a jobhunt. I will keep you posted on my progress in gaining proficiency, applying and getting to know the city. I'm pretty stoked!
