I study International Relations.. in my 5th year already!
It's a combination of international politics, int economics, history of IR, international law.. And now I'm specializing in conflict studies. I love it!

Wow. Law students.
I too study law. I am still doing my under-graduate course. I am in the second year of my five year course. I am interested in International Law. I actually am going to participate in a moot in Amsterdam organised by Yale University on the International Criminal Code.

I understand, but it's organised by Yale right? And what should I imagine by a moot competition? I actually have never heard of it, but maybe that's because I don't study international law (like of lot of people do here ) |

Yes its organised by Yale. A moot court is like a mock court setting where students are given sides i.e. defense or prosecution. They are given a fictional case and then they have to find out laws relating to it and present it as if they are in an actual court.

Wow sounds really interesting  I'm going to participate in something like it but then just a regional competition based on Dutch Law.
Is the moot only for participants or is it possible to just come by and watch? |

I am not sure if everyone can come and watch. I think its a closed thing. I bet you can see one at a law school though. Law schools have intra-university rounds which I think everyone can come and watch.
@Intan- You are going to Harvard ? Impressive.

Harvard MUN is awesome!!
I've been to WorldMUN from Harvard last year, was pretty cool too. Too big for me thoug, I was in a cmommittee with 200 delegates :|

yeh I'm so excited for Harvard MUN, it'll be held on Feb 10-14, 2010. my uni is still practising now. were you in the general assembly committee?

I study Biology, also in Groningen, the Netherlands.
It's good fun, next semester I'm going to disect the brains of a pig. Personally, I think it's really interesting to see how it all works, although I can imagine some people would be a little disgusted by the idea |
