I was just planning a few things for my trip and realized I'll be in Holland during the Queen's Birthday, which is like Beer Fest but better right?!?! Where will everyone be for the celebrations and where are the best parties?

Haha you can indeed compare it to beerfest but then switch the lederhosen for orange clothes, and the music is overall better

Hey Everyone!

I'm spending an early morning at the airport waiting for my flight. I'm looking forward to the beer and orange clothes! Thanks Sjoerdje for the websites, it got me real excited. Is Globals planning anything for the Queen's Birthday? Drink for Peace! hahaha Where is everyone's plans for the day? I don't know many people in Holland, it would be cool to meet future friends!

It's awesome you're here with queensday! I've never been in Amsterdam with queensday before, but they say it's crazy! I'm not sure whether I'll be on a boat or just wandering around the city. In the latter case, we could definitely try to meet somewhere! (I say try cause Ive only heard terrible stories about people not being able to find eachother because it's so crazy, so we should fix a clear
meetingpoint in advance haha)

I now only have plans with the girls from my fraternity, I'll ask what my other (international) friends will be doing, maybe we can make a big get together

It would be nice to meet but I'm spending my queensday in Rouen this year so I can see where I'm going to study in september

How was everyone's Q-day?

I thought it was horrible
It was waaaaay too crowded.
I tried 3 times to reach my friends.
And 3 times I failed...
First and third time I couldnt call or text them (there was no signal) so I couldnt find them on the Heineken plein and had to go back (which is very close to my home, thank god )

The second time I wanted to meet friends who were near the Central Station and I tried to bike, but it was impossible. So I returned home after biking for half an hour getting nowhere...

Finally the fourth time, they passed my house and we went for a drink very near my place...

Next time I'll be in a foreign country with Queensday!

Well as I said, I was on my way to Rouen so I was in the car all the day.

Hey everybody!

It was a pretty crazy day but I had a great time as always in Holland. I was staying at StayOkay Youth Hostel and met a group of people from australia and a couple of americans so we decided to hit the parties together. it was wild!! We spent alot of time trying to get from one square to the other, but museumplein was pretty neat. We don't get these city parties in colorado, or even New York. Its a completely different scene.
